Micro Training is Greasing the Groove.
"Grease the Groove" (GtG) is a strength training technique developed by Pavel Tsatsouline involving frequently performing specific exercises throughout the day without reaching failure or fatigue. It focuses on enhancing neuromuscular efficiency—the connection between the brain and muscles—to increase strength and repetitions.
Key Principles of Greasing the Groove:
High Frequency, Low Intensity: Perform 4–10 sets of an exercise 4–7 days per week, doing roughly 40-70% of your maximum repetitions per set.
Avoid Fatigue: Always stop well before failure to ensure the nervous system remains fresh and able to handle consistent, daily practice.
Ample Rest: Space out sets by 30 minutes, even hours, allowing full recovery between sessions.
Specificity: Choose 1–2 exercises you want to improve and focus on performing them with perfect form consistently.
